meet our team
jess n. – cleaning superstar & sink enthusiast

Jess works five days a week and takes care of 16 regular clients, making homes sparkle with her incredible attention to detail. She has a (somewhat unhealthy) obsession with cleaning sinks—seriously, if there were a Sink Cleaning Olympics, she’d take home the gold!
When she’s not transforming homes, Jess is a busy mum of two and lives in Koongal.
jess s. – the bathroom whisperer & OG team member
Jess has been with us since the very beginning, and we’d be lost without her! Working four days a week with 11 regular clients, she brings her magic touch to every home she cleans.
Her specialty? Deep cleaning bathrooms. Yep, while most people avoid scrubbing showers, Jess actually enjoys it—some say she was a grout brush in a past life!
When she’s not making bathrooms sparkle, she’s a dedicated mum of two and lives in Gracemere.
pam – the detail queen & master of the tidy-up

Pam works four days a week with 12 regular clients, and she also takes care of our one and only commercial clean—a physiotherapy office (which basically makes her a cleaning VIP, right?).
She has a real passion for detailed tidying and loves making individual rooms look their absolute best. If there were a degree in ‘Perfectly Placed Items and Flawless Finishing Touches,’ Pam would have graduated with honors!
A dedicated mum, Pam calls Gracemere home.

cass – the big clean boss & all-around gem
When it comes to big cleans, Cass is always on the job! Whether it’s a spring clean, deep clean, pre-sale, or bond clean, she’s in her element, tackling every nook and cranny with her signature enthusiasm. Her attitude toward cleaning is nothing short of incredible—she takes on every job with a smile and a "let’s do this" mindset. And beyond her skills, Cass is just an all-around genuinely sweet person who makes the whole team better.A busy mum of two (soon to be three this year!), Cass lives in Gracemere.
leanne – the powerhouse partner
Leanne works three days a week with 8 regular clients and is an essential part of our big cleans. She teams up with Cass, and together, they are an absolute powerhouse—think dynamic duo, but with mops and vacuums instead of capes! Leanne lives in Rockhampton with her daughter and delightful grandson.
melissa – the cleaning pro who was born for this
Melissa is our newest team member, and we are absolutely stoked to have found such a gem! Working five days a week with 16 regular clients, she’s already making a huge impact with her fantastic work. I always joke that Melissa was destined for a life in cleaning—after all, her last name is literally a piece of cleaning equipment! Melissa lives in Frenchville with her family.

the g.c.s story

Hi there! I'm Elena, the face behind The Great Cleansed Space.

I started my business in February 2021, just three months after having our first bub. It was chaotic—some might even say a little mad—but I wanted the freedom to work around my family life and be home with my daughter as much as possible.
I’ve always had a passion for organising and decluttering, but at the time, I couldn’t find a local service that offered the kind of home care I had in mind—so I decided to create it myself! That’s how The Great Organised Space was born.
I loved what I did, but over time, the hours of planning, ordering products, and setting up pantries, linen cupboards, and entire rooms became overwhelming. It started to take a toll on my home life. I felt stretched too thin—juggling my business and motherhood left me constantly exhausted, and guilt crept in. I wanted to give my all to both, but it felt impossible. Looking back, I now realize I was experiencing a lot of postpartum depression.
I eventually decided to pivot, still offering organising services occasionally, but shifting my main focus to cleaning homes. This transition became much easier once I found a fantastic home daycare in our area. Knowing my little girl was safe, loved, and well cared for helped ease the feelings of guilt, and I could finally focus on growing the business without that constant internal struggle.
In the beginning, it was just me. I believe I started adding to the team about a year later, which was a huge learning curve. Stepping into the role of

an employer was both exciting and daunting, but life is all about growth—and sometimes, that means stepping outside our comfort zone. It’s been a rollercoaster ride, but I wouldn’t change a thing.
I’m incredibly proud of the team we’ve built and beyond grateful for each and every one of them. They put their heart into their work, and the care they show to our clients’ homes truly makes all the difference.
We are incredibly passionate about providing personalised, tailored cleans for each of our clients—whether it’s a one-off clean or a regular service.
Inviting someone into your home is deeply personal, and we understand that it can feel overwhelming or even a little nerve-wracking. But here’s the thing—we’re not here to judge.
Life is busy, and juggling all the responsibilities of adulthood while keeping your home spotless every day? That’s just not realistic. We get it because we’ve been there.
That’s why choosing the right cleaner for your family isn’t just about having a tidy space—it’s an important act of self-care. There’s something so powerful about being able to look around your home and say, "Yep, I’m happy with this." It might seem like a small thing, but the impact it has on your mental well-being is huge. A clean, calm space can make all the difference, and we love being able to provide that for our clients.
Since beginning GCS our little family has grown - we now have delightful boy-girl twins who I am at home with. They've taught me an important lesson: sometimes, we need to put aside our "adulting" for a moment, let go of the to-do lists, and just have a big belly laugh. And honestly, I think that’s something we all need more of in life!
